About us
How Lunch Became Our Passion
I'm Bianca and I'm the founder of love.lunch. As a mum of two young girls, I understand first-hand the challenges that come with providing healthy, nutritious meals that kids will eat.
For as long as I can remember, I've always had a love and passion for food. But when my eldest daughter began primary school, meal prep left me with boxed-lunch burnout. No matter how many different ways we tried, our family still scrambled each day to find time to make healthy school lunches. Between our high-pressure jobs, school duties, daycare, volunteering, and more, I was torn between staying up way too late prepping the next day's lunches and overpaying for processed canteen orders.
After jokingly wishing out loud one night that there was a kids' lunch delivery service, I decided to turn my constant guilt and frustration into a solution that could help other overextended parents feel good about lunchtime again.
At love.lunch, we're proud supporters of Australian businesses and are passionate about offering locally sourced produce. We use free-range lamb & chicken (also chemical & hormone free), as well as grass-fed beef to ensure maximum flavour in our meals without the nasties. By sourcing locally and focusing on these qualities, we’re not only supporting Australian farmers but also ensuring you receive the finest ingredients available.
Our team are committed to doing our bit to help protect the environment. That’s why all our lunch boxes and lids are re-usable and recyclable. We’re also dedicated to helping to reduce food waste. We were alarmed when we learned that in Australia, up to 25% of all produce doesn’t leave farms due to their appearance not meeting the industry cosmetic standards. All the produce we select at love.lunch is done-so based on what’s in season and regardless of how it looks. This way we can ensure we're offering you affordable options that are deliciously tasty.
Our team is dedicated to providing healthy, fun and convenient lunch options for your kids, and each one of our meals is prepared with the same level of love and care that we put into our own children's meals.
We focus on convenience and ease. We know that parents have busy lives, and the constant balancing act often brings with it a heavy mental load. Our mission is to make it easy for parents and carers to provide their kids with nutritious school lunches, minus the level of thinking and planning that goes with it.
