Organic Israeli Mezze !!

Hey my lovelies,

I hope you had a fantastic long weekend and are feeling wonderfully relaxed…

As fashion week is upon us, (cant believe another year has flown past so quickly!) and crazy long days ensue for many of us fashionistas, I thought I’d offer  you all a delicious  and low fat, uber healthy yet VERY satisfying and high in protein Israeli mezze for you all to enjoy!

My wonderful new chef Alon is a wiz with Middle Eastern cuisine, so I feel more than secure ducking out to support my darling girlfriend Camilla Franks at her fashion parade (and holla from the front row) for an hour or two, before getting back to the grind in the kitchen for you all.

So this week’s Love Lunch will be one of my all time favourites…. a mezze of organic Israeli deliciousness

my (very low fat) organic lentil and rice salad -of steamed basmati rice, (lower GI than brown rice), finely diced seasonal organic vegetables, fresh organic mint, chilli and coriander tossed in a home made Israeli dressing of organic lemons and zest, garlic, mustard and Rosnay organic extra virgin olive oil…mmmm…. with

My Israeli chic pea salad- of chic peas, organic parsley, mint, red onion and chilli, Israeli herbs and spices and of course, always my main ingredient, lots of love!

Served with a dollop of my home made low fat hummus, a piece of preservative free, sugar free, wholemeal Lebanese bread dusted in zahrtar (this is not gluten free as I haven’t been able to source any.  If anyone knows of any good quality, pliable authentic tasting Leb bread, please let me know!)

Cost: Tuesday’s deliveries $12.10 incl GST (that’s still just $11 to me, plus GST)

Plus $13 Suppertime delivery charge for East and CBD drop offs.

Continued great feed back re the organic juice and water, so I will keep them and Bounce Balls on the menu…

Almond Protein Ball (wheat and gluten free) Cashew & Pecan Ball (wheat and dairy free) Fudge Walnut Ball (wheat free, gluten free and dairy free). Each ball is $3.29.

Found Organic Juice -  organic carbon neutral 100% pure juice, no concentrates, no additives and no preservatives in flavours: pomegranate, strawberry, sour cherry and mulberry – $3.45 for 250 mil and organic Add Water - $2.50 for 500 mil.
