I hope you had a fabulous long weekend.
I don’t know about you, but I’m over this dreary weather… I’m thinking it’s time to travel to India for one of my all time favourite recipes, a little bit of spice, warmth and a whole lot of Love is needed! So next week’s Love Lunch will be one my friends and family and long standing Love Lunchers know well… a recipe I picked up whilst in India, which I have adapted, as always, to a dairy free, gluten free, super low fat version, with all the traditional spices and flavours of India, but no guilt! (and no lard of course!). This is a vegan dish.
Next week’s Love Lunch will be my low fat spinach and chickpea Rogan Josh curry - of my home made Rogan Josh curry paste, organic tomatoes, organic spinach, organic chickpeas, kaffir lime leaves from our garden, fresh lime, coriander and as always, my main ingredient: lots of LOVE!
Served on a bed of steamed certified organic basmati rice (lower GI than brown rice) accompanied with a generous dollop of my fat free dhal and a wedge of lime to squeeze over just before devouring and sprinkled with fresh coriander…mmmm… high protein, low fat, organic goodness!
I love to serve it with sweet mango chutney, lime pickle and a papadam. For a suggested fat free papadam option, just pop them in the microwave on high for 1 minute. Please note Love Lunch does not supply the suggested accompaniments, it’s just my serving recommendation.
This dish is perfect for freezing and will last at least 3-4 days sealed and refrigerated.
Love Lunch serve: Tuesday’s deliveries or pick ups $13.75 per serve (including GST).
Love Lunch family tray: $68.75 (including GST) which is 6 standard Love Lunch serves. (A saving of one serve if you buy by the tray).
Dessert: Low fat, gluten free, delicious organic date and walnut loaf. Organic goodness at its finest! So yum…. as its preservative free it’s best to be eaten within 4 days.
Delivery: Add $13 eco friendly delivery fee for East and CBD deliveries or $15 for greater Sydney (please check the map when ordering to ensure your suburb falls within the delivery area).
All orders must be placed by no later than SATURDAY 2PM.

Please note, if picking up Love Lunch from the kitchen on Tuesday morning, the kitchen address is: Aesops, 131 Macquarie Street, Sydney NSW 2000. You MUST let us know when you place the order if you are picking up. Tuesday morning collection is between 8am-10am sharp. You CANNOT collect your Love Lunch outside the specified times my lovelies, as there will be no one in the kitchen.
